Root Edition

For advanced users with a rooted phone or their own Android build.

Most people do not need this. To change your voice in calls on an ordinary phone, use the Voxera dongle.

What it does

It installs itself as a system app (a Magisk/KernelSU module, or into /system) so that other apps (calls, WhatsApp, recorders) receive the changed voice as their microphone.

Requirements

• Android 10 or newer. On Android 9 and older the voice other apps hear can be garbled.
• Root (Magisk or KernelSU), or a ROM you build yourself.
• Cellular (SIM) calls are not covered; internet calls and recordings are.

Risks

• Changing the system partition can stop a phone from starting if something else is wrong with it. Have a backup.
• The app can undo its own setup from Settings.
